Maddy is a 6yo mare, due to have her first foal in April 2006. As with all of Mandolin's progeny, Maddy has a kind friendly nature.

Maddy has been successfully shown, particularly as a yearling and two year old. She hasn't had many outings recently as we have been showing the younger fillies instead. Amongst some of Maddy's wins she was Reserve foal on her first outing at Grampian foal show, 1st as a yearling at the National Stallion Show,Fife, Aylth, 2nd at the Royal Highland.As a 2yo she was 1st at Aylth, Echt,Turriff, Reserve Champion at Tayside Foal Show.She was not shown as a 3yo. In 2005 she had 2 outings at the beginning of the season and was Reserve Champion at Aberdeen Spring Show and 3rd at the National Stallion Show.
2006. Maddy had her first foal in April, a colt by Emperor of Whitefield. She has been covered again and is scanned in foal to Viscount of Whitefield for 2007.

July 2006. Maddy must have got quite a shock finding herself getting bathed to go to a show again. Not having had an outing since March 2005, she had probably thought she had seen the last of all of that. She went to Echt and Braco Shows in July, winning the brood mare class at both and also standing Reserve Champion at Braco. Her foal Lochlands Military Piper was 2nd at Echt and third at Braco.

Maddy had two further show outings in 2006, she was 2nd in an exceptionally strong class of brood mares at The Blair Castle Highland Pony Show and 2nd again at the end of season Central Scotland Highland Pony Club Show.
2007 : Maddy had her second foal, a lovely yellow dun filly in April, by Viscount of Whitefield. This foal has been called Marimba and is staying with us for the meantime.

Maddy has been served this year with ' Sass' and is tested in foal, due May 2008.
